Please call MVS at 248-371-3713 to make an appointment with Dr. Degner
Appointments for consultation are available on Mondays and Wednesdays
- If your pet must be evaluated on a day other than Mondays or Wednesdays, the emergency service will admit the patient to the hospital and a consult will be done by Dr. Degner.
Surgery is performed on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Dr. Degner is also available for after hours emergency surgery 7 days a week

Consultation with Dr. Degner
- Please fast your pet 12 hours prior to arrival unless your pet is diabetic or a very young kitten or puppy (under 4 months old)
- If your pet is currently taking medication do not skip doses unless otherwise instructed to do so...if you are not sure about this please ask us
- Bring with you to your appointment
- All x-rays
- Ultrasound reports
- Blood work
- Referral information
What Dr. Degner does during your pet's consultation appointment
- Examine your pet
- Review all tests that your veterinian has already completed
- Do additional testing that your pet may need prior to surgery
- Provide you with information relevant to your pet's condition
- Provide an estimate of cost
- Set up an date for surgery
Finances
- Payment is due upon completion of examination
- Deposit (lower end of estimate) to be paid prior to surgery
- Balance of payment to be paid upon release of your pet from MVS
