Sweet Onion Salsa - Dan Degner
3 jalapeno peppers (seeds and membranes removed) – about 3 to 4 inches long
½ green bell pepper
4 medium tomatoes
½ of a large sweet onion – choose the flattest sweet onion possible as it will be sweeter
½ cup chopped cilantro leaves
**put these in a processor or chopper and chop well (salsa size)
½ tsp celery powder
1 tbsp white vinegar
juice of one large lime
3 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp salt
1 cup mild store bought salsa (brand of your choice) or add medium or hot salsa if you want to have it hotter or add membranes of jalapeno peppers and Wow! |
